Visitor/Work visa under partnership

⦁ New Zealand Resident or Permanent Resident Visa

Dependent child Student/Resident visa

Student visa

If you are 19 and under, you may be eligible for a dependent child Student visa dependent on your parent if they meet the specific requirements. Your eligibility for this visa depends on the type of visa your parent holds and the remuneration they earn per annum if they hold a work visa.

Resident visa

Parent/Grandparent visitor visa

Are you offshore and wanting to visit your children or grandchildren in NZ?

If you have a NZ resident or citizen child(ren)/grandchild(ren), you have the opportunity to apply for a Parent/Grandparent visitor visa. This visa permits a maximum stay of 6 months in one visit. This is a multiple entry visa with a travel condition valid for 3 years enabling you to stay for a maximum of 18 months within a total of 36 months. Additionally, you have the option to include your partner in the same visa application.

Parent Resident visa

As a New Zealand resident or citizen, you have the opportunity to sponsor your parents for a New Zealand residence visa, allowing them to live with you permanently. However, it is essential that you/your parents meet certain eligibility criteria, including:
⦁ Meeting the income threshold required for sponsorship.
⦁ Considering the duration of time that you, as the sponsor, have held a resident visa or New Zealand citizenship.
⦁ Assessing applicant’s proficiency in English as part of the eligibility factors.
